Shifting Into Fall 🍁

As the season begins to shift into fall, there’s a tangible change in the air that influences not just nature, but the way I approach my work at Thomas William Furniture. The vibrant colors of summer fade into rich hues of gold, amber, and deep reds, reminding me that, just like the cycles of the seasons, craftsmanship has its own rhythm. Fall is a season of gathering, of slowing down to appreciate the warmth and beauty around us.

In Wisconsin, the crisp air and changing leaves inspire me. Nature's transformation from the lush greens of summer to the fiery brilliance of autumn is echoed in the grains and textures of the wood I select. Every piece of wood has its own story, much like the way each tree prepares for the coming winter. As the leaves fall and the landscape becomes more rugged and raw, I see parallels in my work. The organic beauty of the materials I use is front and center, and there’s a certain honesty in that simplicity.
