Effective at approximately 3 p.m. today, the CEO made the decision to cancel the Scottsdale Arts Festival this weekend. In the hours leading up to this decision, there were numerous local events and facilities making similar decisions one by one. This decision did not come lightly as they realized the ramifications this has for all of the artists on many levels. Earlier today circumstances and information appeared to be calm and they felt confident in their decision to move forward. Upon MLB’s decision to cancel the remainder of spring training games the changes became more apparent across the city and surrounding areas.
